Ethics Workshop

2002

On April 5-6, 2002, the Kirksville Chapter of Sigma Xi sponsored a workshop on ethics in research.  This workshop included lectures by three distinguished speakers and small-group discussion of case studies.  The speakers were:

• Gail Gibbons, J.D., Deputy Chief, Office of Research Integrity, Office of the General Counsel, United States Department of Health and Human Services

• Jerry Menikoff, J.D., M.D., Assistant Professor of Law, Ethics & Medicine, University of Kansas Medical School, and Director of Hospital Ethics, University of Kansas Hospital

• Richard Doyle, D.V.M., Chairman of the Department of Comparative Medicine, Saint Louis University.
