Community Outreach Committee

Science must serve society, and dissemination of scientific knowledge is one of the goals of Sigma Xi. The Community Outreach Committee of the Kirksville Chapter of Sigma Xi attempts to foster and coordinate the community-oriented activities of its members. These activities include public lectures on scientific subjects, providing enrichment programs in primary and secondary schools, talks at meetings of other local organizations, and providing contacts for news media and other organizations.
