During each academic year, the Kirksville Sigma Xi Chapter calls for nominations for its Researcher of the Year Award. Nominees need not be members of Sigma Xi, but should conduct their research in the geographic area served by the Chapter. The researcher selected for this honor receives a plaque at the Annual Banquet, and delivers a research seminar during the following year.
